About Greymont

Most Advisory in This Market Comes From a Single Discipline. Greymont Comes From Running the Whole Operation.

Budgets, staffing, labor, technology, service, and capital plans do not live in separate worlds. They meet at the point of delivery.

Greymont brings a senior operating perspective to that point. Ronan Kearney founded the firm after two decades leading institutional residential operations, building an operating organization for a privately held national developer and running a business serving some of New York’s most demanding addresses. He has worked inside family-owned New York firms and for institutional investors, and knows how each kind of owner measures a building.

That record informs every engagement Greymont accepts. It is also why the firm engages selectively.

How We Work

Greymont Is Deliberately Lean.

Every engagement is led personally by Ronan Kearney. Independent specialists are brought in where needed and agreed for the mandate. No junior team running point. No account manager as intermediary.

His network spans ownership, property management, capital, construction, engineering, law, finance, technology, labor, brokerage, and residential service. He knows how interdependent these disciplines are, and how to bring the right expertise to the client’s decision.

A managing agent or in-house team does not need to be replaced to engage Greymont.

Technology

Technology, judged by what it improves

Ronan has selected and implemented property technology across large residential platforms and redesigned the processes around it. He is conversant in integrations, data governance, cybersecurity, and AI, and asks the operating questions that matter: what improves, what information is exposed, where the system can fail, and who remains accountable.

Technical testing and legal advice remain with the appropriate specialists.

Operating principles

  1. Protect the Integrity of the Asset.

  2. Align Every Decision With the Owner’s Long-Term Interest.

  3. Exercise Discretion in Every Engagement.

  4. Never Accept an Engagement the Firm Cannot Lead Well.

Ethical business practice and respect for people have been constants throughout Ronan’s career. He brings that standard to Greymont: speaking honestly, addressing conflicts openly, giving people a fair hearing, and treating everyone with respect, whatever their role. Difficult decisions still have to be made. They should be made fairly and explained clearly.

The founder

Before founding Greymont, Ronan Kearney served on the executive leadership team of a Blackstone portfolio company and led an organization of more than 400 people, across six operating functions, at America’s largest rental community, presenting operating results in its investor reviews. He built a national developer’s residential operating organization as its platform grew from three properties to ten and, as president, led a business serving 51 of New York’s premier cooperatives and condominiums. Earlier, he directed phased renovations across two occupied residential towers, developed the renovation program for a third occupied building, and directed the opening and lease-up of a new Brooklyn building.

His experience includes crisis and issues management and representing owners and companies before boards, investors, banks, lenders, public officials, national media, and industry audiences.
